Bring your designs to life with us! We’re looking for a passionate Design Drafter to help shape the future of mining innovation. In this exciting role, you’ll dive into cutting-edge 3D scan data, transforming it into accurate SolidWorks models and wear packages for heavy-duty mining equipment. If you thrive on turning point cloud data into detailed 3D designs and have strong skills in SolidWorks and AutoCAD, this is your chance to make a big impact and see your work come to life in the real world!

Key Responsibilities

• Convert 3D scan/point cloud data into accurate SolidWorks models.
• Design and create wear packages for mining equipment.
• Prepare and input flat parts into nesting software (Pronest) — training provided.
• Perform part nesting as required, including 5-axis bevels.
• Maintain and update planner tiles using Microsoft Planner.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure design accuracy and production readiness.
• Prepare and update technical drawings using AutoCAD and SolidWorks.

Qualifications & Skills

• 3–5 years of experience in design/drafting, preferably in mining or heavy equipment industries.
• Strong proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
• Ability to work with 3D scan/point cloud data to generate accurate 3D models.
• Familiarity with wear package design.
• Knowledge of Pronest nesting software is an advantage (training provided).
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications; training available for Microsoft Planner.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Portfolio of relevant design/drafting work required.
• Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines
• Adaptability and willingness to learn new tools and processes
• Ability to perform ad hoc tasks as required.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related engineering field (preferred).
