Job Title: Bookkeeper/Accountant

Salary Range: P35-45k

Working days/hours: Monday to Friday- 7am-3:30pm PHT

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process daily financial transactions, ensuring all entries are accurate, properly categorized, and reconciled against bank statements and supporting documentation.
  • Support the preparation and processing of employee payroll and superannuation contributions, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with Australian regulations.
  • Assist in the preparation of Business Activity Statements (BAS) and ensuring accurate reporting of GST.
  • Support the preparation of monthly financial reports and management accounts, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely delivery to assist in business decision-making.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, ensuring all transactions are properly documented and coded. Identify and report any irregularities or discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Perform ad hoc administrative or accounting tasks as required to support day-to-day operations.

Qualification:

  • At least 1–2 years of practical experience in bookkeeping or accounting, preferably with Australian businesses, demonstrating a solid understanding of local financial processes and compliance requirements.
  • Familiarity with Australian compliance requirements, including GST, BAS preparation, payroll processing, superannuation contributions, and ATO reporting standards.
  • Strong proficiency in Xero, particularly in payroll processing, financial reporting, and account reconciliations.
  • Ability to provide examples of previous bookkeeping or accounting work (e.g., reconciliations, payroll runs, BAS preparation), with all sensitive data appropriately redacted.
