Job Title: Junior Accountant
Salary Range: Php 30,000 – Php 40,000
Working Hours: Monday to Friday; 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM PHT or as agreed from time to time
Work Arrangement: WFH–Dayshift

This is a great opportunity to join a growing, client-focused accounting firm supporting New Zealand-based clients. You’ll gain hands-on exposure to a wide range of accounting and tax work while building strong client relationships in a supportive, close-knit team environment.
We are looking for a Junior to Intermediate Accountant who is confident managing their own workload, detail-oriented, and eager to grow into a Senior Accountant role.
In this role, you will work closely with a Senior Accountant and the Director, contributing directly to the delivery of high-quality compliance and advisory services.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Prepare financial statements for small to medium-sized business clients
- Complete GST returns and other Inland Revenue compliance requirements
- Prepare income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, trusts, and companies
- Review and reconcile general ledger accounts, including bank and balance sheet reconciliations
- Work with client-provided data in CSV and PDF formats, including bank statement analysis
- Assist clients with accounting software such as Xero or MYOB
- Manage day-to-day client communication and respond to queries in a timely and professional manner
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in accounting and practice management systems
- Prepare draft tax returns, GST statements, depreciation schedules, and financial reports for review
- Support year-end compliance processes, including annual reports and company documentation
- Monitor outstanding client requirements and proactively follow up to ensure deadlines are met
- Ensure all work complies with New Zealand accounting and tax regulations
- Identify basic tax planning opportunities and escalate complex matters to senior staff
- Contribute to process improvements and overall team efficiency
- Perform additional tasks as required to support the team and operations
What We’re Looking For:
- 2–5 years’ experience in public practice accounting with NZ and AU clients
- Strong understanding of New Zealand tax regulations (GST, PAYE, income tax; FBT exposure is a plus)
- Proficiency in Xero or similar accounting systems
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in financial work
- Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines with minimal supervision
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A proactive, client-focused mindset with a willingness to learn and grow
- Working towards a CPA qualification is preferred but not essential
